Samsung Galaxy M17 5G Launching on October 10: Slim Design, AI Features & Gorilla Glass Victus
Samsung has officially announced the launch date for its upcoming mid-range smartphone — the Galaxy M17 5G. The device is set to debut in India on October 10, following the release of the Galaxy A17 5G back in August.
The company has revealed that the Galaxy M17 5G will come equipped with a 50MP main rear camera with OIS for blur-free photos and shake-free videos. It will also include a 5MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro sensor, while selfies and video calls will be handled by a 13MP front camera.
Samsung claims the Galaxy M17 5G offers segment-leading durability, featuring Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection and an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance. The phone sports a sleek 7.5mm design and boasts a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display for an immersive viewing experience.
As per earlier reports, the device—identified by model number SM-M176B—will be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 1330 chipset.
For the first time in the M1x lineup, Samsung is introducing native AI features out of the box, including Circle to Search with Google and Gemini Live integration.
The Galaxy M17 5G will be available in two stylish colour options — Moonlight Silver and Sapphire Black — when it launches later this month.
